Dear CPS Families,

Now that summer is underway, we want to let you know that free, nutritious meals will soon be available for CPS students at hundreds of locations around the city. Children can access meals at all LunchStop locations beginning next Tuesday, June 20, and at all CPS schools offering summer programs beginning on Monday, June 26. This summer meals program will run through Wednesday, August 9 (LunchStop) and Friday, August 11 (CPS school locations).

LunchStop Program

LunchStop provides children from ages 1–18 with free meals at outdoor locations around Chicago. This program will be available from 10 a.m.–12 p.m. Monday through Friday beginning Tuesday, June 20, and children must be present to receive a meal. To find the location nearest your home, visit the LunchStop Meal Finder.

Summer Meals at CPS School Locations

All students participating in CPS summer programs will have access to free breakfast and lunch at the schools they are enrolled in for the summer. Children living in the communities served by these schools can also access these meals, even if they are not enrolled in summer programs.

Please click here for more information on summer meal options, or call (800) 359-2163. Families can also text “FOOD” or “COMIDA” to 304-304 to receive information on dates, times, and locations for accessing summer meals.

CPS is committed to providing easy access to summer meals; it is just as important to keep children healthy and fed during the summer months as it is during the school year. We urge families to take advantage of these meal options and wish everyone a safe and enjoyable summer break.

Thank you,

Chicago Public Schools
